I'm using zenphoto since V 1.5.6 and I'm very happy with your work on this project. Many thanks for that. My questions:

1. The downloaded zenphoto packages contains imho the plugins gd_fonts, imagick_fonts, and watermarks in the plugins folder, but after installation on the server, the plugin site_upgrade is also present. Where does this come from?

2. In the procedure described at installation and upgrading, the plugins folder is not updated. Same with moving described in moving and changing existing installations the plugins folder is not moved to the new server. Do the plugins mentioned in question 1. not need to be upgraded or moved? If so, how is this done?

I am not aware of a user guide for menu or page but their usage seems obvious BUT

There is a funny interaction between menu and page

1. copy all files from zp1.6.8 download to directory
2. add downloaded zpBootstrap fork to themes directory
3. create empty db with phpMyAdmin
4. run setup and enable page

basic gallery page with Search option shown [no menus]

6. Themes tab > zpBootstrap - activate [All themes (except zpBootstrap) show as deprecated so I am happy to have zpBootstrap which I use for my website anyways]

Home Gallery and Search icon shown as menu items

7. enable menu_manager and zenpage plugins

no change to webpage

5. enable Options > Theme > Use custom menu

Home News Gallery and Search icon shown as menu items

6. Menu tab - these items are pre-populated there and set to active
7. Hide News and it gets hidden
8. create a page (not published)

no change - page not displayed

9. publish it (not added to Menu)

page title is displayed in menu

10. Menu tab > Add Menu Items > Zenpage page select the created page and Apply

page title is displayed twice in menu

11. Page > unpublish the page

it does not appear in the menu at all

12. Page > publish and it appears twice again in the menu
13. Menu > hide the page and it appears once in the menu

I assume if menu_manager plugin is enabled and custom menu is enabled in theme then only those things not hidden in menu should be shown.

Maybe I missed some other option - I will continue checking

I find 1.5.9 will not run at all for me under PHP8.x (I hope this is not a surprise)

When I do an upgrade from 1.5.9 to 1.6.0 (on PHP 7.x) I have lost my menu_manager menu items that were albums.
The albums are still there and all the data (titles, etc) migrated ok but they do not appear in my menu.

I can create a new album and when I try to add the album to my menu it fails with a message on admin panel “update_menu” Cross Site Request Forgery blocked.

In the security log I see

Unfortunately the migration on the live server went poorly (and the netfirms support team are still looking into it) so I proceeded to check the migrations on MAMP on my MAC (mac mini M4)

I don't want to list too many problems at the same time but I hope this is not an issue with MAMP. I could even only get MAMP 6.9 (free) to work. Later versions gave me more grief (something about needing to call spawn) so I will hope version 6.9 is OK to use and worry about MAMP later (what version do you use? I think I saw version 6.8 in one of your responses).

Is there something I need to configure or disable in order to avoid the XSRF issue?

Omitted fields like Title or Company of the form are still displayed although they are set to "omitted" in the plugin options.

Also discovered that I cannot change the options of the contact_form plugin in the admin panel. If I make changes the changes are not saved.

During the upgrade I also got the following warning:

Warning: the zp_options table appears not to have a proper UNIQUE key. There are probably duplicate entries in the table which can cause unpredictable behavior. This can normally be corrected by creating a Zenphoto backup, dropping the table, running setup to restore the table, and then restoring from the backup. Note, however, that the duplicate entries will be lost.

Although the table has id set as the primary key.

Any ideas?

I did try out the user_groups.plugin - but disabled when I could not get that working correctly. After i disabled it, is there a chance that the settings I left it with are influencing the register_user.plugin? It's the next troubleshootng that I can think to look?

As I provide some downloads in the articles i usually use the printDownloadURL function - which works fine with the codeblocks.
I am wondering if it is possible to use this function "somewhere" in the article.
Say you have a paragraphs with the file descriptions - then it would be great to have the download link below the descriptions.

When downloading as a logged in user the counter acts a little bit strange:
1st download = count five
2nd download = seven
3rd = eight
From the 3rd download counting is correct and increases +1 with each download. This does not happen for non logged in users.

The big white space at the top is where usually the map will be displayed.
I have set the album layout to "Grid" because with Masonry layout the album will load forever.
(Disabling Openstreet Map will load the album without problems).

I have created a few test albums - it seems that the problem occurs when the album has more than 1600 images.

I did not find a limit in the plugins files....

Any ideas except commenting out the display of OSM in the album.php file?

adminBranding is a plugin for Zenphoto CMS for customization of Admin backend.

Originally adminBranding was intended as a fork of zp-branding v1.4 to be merged with zp-branding.
Since our approaches to the task and customization needs are so different, me and @fretzl have decided to keep projects separate, hence the rename. Calling it zp-branding (kuzzzma version) potentially could lead to confusion and, anyway, I'm not Taylor Swift.

Instead of proposed zp-branding ver 2.0 this work is therefore released as adminBranding v1.0 and will be updated if need be by myself.
It was tested with latest Zenphoto version 1.6.3a.

Options:

• Logo for Admin (Default, Custom, No logo) with ability to specify width and margins.
• Background styling for Admin (Default image, Custom image, No image, Image repeat behaviour, Color)
• Styling of Text and Links in Admin.
• Custom CSS for further alterations.
• Custom Logo and Background files should be placed in "/uploaded/design" folder of your Zenphoto install
  (see more info on UPLOAD FOLDER of Zenphoto).
• Plugin also supports translation, and I've provided one for Russian (ru_RU).

What it does differently from zp-branding:

• adminBranding doesn't use included custom Logo image.
  If user wants to use custom Logo - they need to upload it into designated area, to protect files from being overwritten on the update.
• adminBranding greatly expands available options.
• adminBranding allows user mix and match plugin Options to combine custom and default elements for their desired look.

Installation:

1. Copy "/admin-branding" folder and "admin-branding.php" and into the "/plugins" folder of your Zenphoto installation.
2. Enable the "adminBranding" plugin in the Zenphoto backend (Admin section of plugins list).
3. Upload custom Logo and background images into "/uploaded/design" folder (see above).
4. Setup plugin to your liking via plugin options.

I have created a dynamic album based on a search for longitude and latitude.
The alb file for the album has this content:

WORDS=*
THUMB=1
FIELDS=exifgpslatitude,exifgpslongitude
CONSTRAINTS=inalbums=0&inimages=1&unpublished=0

Without tidy asset plugin enabled the map loads fine with all pictures which have gps data.
With the plugin enabled, the album loads forever without displaying anything.

Tested it with different themes: zpbase, bootstrap, paradigm.

With other albums the map and the images in the albums are displayed fine.

For testing i created different albums to find out what is causing the problem.

As other dynamic albums work my guess was that it has something to do with the search word which is an "*" in this case.
So i looked into the gps data of some images and noticed that there are some with multiple numbers "1" in it.

Next I created an album with the number "1" as the search word = same result. Page loads forever.
Now I go for two digits - in this case "11" - and surprise: page loads fine.

My guess at this point: It has something todo that the search word has only one "number/letter/Asterisk".
what is causing the problem with a dynamic album when tidy assets is enabled.
BTW: Frontend search works fine when searching for: *

Question of the day:
Is there a search phrase/word which has more than 1 letter/number/asterisk for a "blank" search?

I have also noticed that the "*" is written in the database as "%2A" - but i guess this is normal.

So some feature requests to combat this (depending on what's possible):

• filter to choose how many sub-levels to display (as in albums)
• maybe some controls to open/collapse a list of subpages?

in zenphoto 1.6. ?

The above code does not work anymore in 1.6.
Neither when adding it to the codeblock of one article nor when adding it to news.php.

Would be great if someone can help.

i am a little bit lost with this:
How can i print a map with all geo-tagged images on a page.

Already tried to add:
printOpenStreetMap(); (within php tags)
to the code block of the page - but that does not work.

I am pretty sure that printing a map on a page with open streetmap plugin was possible in older zenphoto versions.

Would be great if someone points me in the right direction.

I've tried to do it myself, but run into some strange behaviour when adding this code to title: some links worked fine, but for some opening tag for link address < was transformed to &lt code, rendering link useless. Couldn't find reason for this though, it seemed random.

Slideshow2 : This plugin will be removed in future versions.
Is there a plan to add something similar in future versions ?

“update_menu” Cross Site Request Forgery blocked.

The one big challenge I've run into so far is that my MP4 videos aren't playing. They come up on the album as ".mp4" thumbnails, but when I click on the Play icon, nothing happens. The videos are valid MP4 files - I'm able to view / play them on my Mac without issue using the built-in viewer.
