Does ZenPhoto allow a Web site's registered users (i.e. many different people each having their own photo files) to upload their own photo files to the Web site? I'm developing such a Web site for sharing photos, but I'm not sure if ZenPhoto provides for multiple users being able to do their own uploading? Or is only the site admin allowed to upload images? Thanks very much.

Thank you,

So in the next release user galleries will be part of the package?
Thanks
I really need the function at my Zenphoto site http://www.t-shirt.name/
To describe what I need:
- Any one can register for a "Upload"-account
- When registered they can upload pictures (if not banned or dissaproved)
- New pictures needs to be approved (if the member isn't wellknown or has several pictures approved since before)
Is that the feature you are working on?
Looked on the roadmap etc but couldn't see any info about it...
We want to keep Zenphoto as simple as possible, and its primary purpose is to be a simple gallery solution for a person or small group with their own web site. Registration, user management, user banning or disapproving, photo approval, etc. are all features of complex multi-user galleries (or even social photo sites), and would introduce more security issues, debugging issues, social issues, user rights issues, etc. etc.
If you're looking for something that requires all those features, then perhaps a larger gallery system is better suited for your needs, such as Gallery2 or Coppermine.
We can also add that feature to the feature poll, and if enough people express interest then we can consider it more formally.
I can live without disapproving/approving images.
A public "register" form would be great and I think it wouldn't be too hard with the right knowledge about Zenphoto.
I will try to fix that myself but my coding skills are not the best and I haven't worked on other peoples code/systems before so it might be hard...
It would be great if you would like to add the feature to the poll!
PS: I've tried Gallery2 before but I think it's too big/complex. I'll check out Coppermine later but it seems pretty similar to Gallery2
