Hy all,
I'm using zenphoto since V 1.5.6 and I'm very happy with your work on this project. Many thanks for that. My questions:
The downloaded zenphoto packages contains imho the plugins gd_fonts, imagick_fonts, and watermarks in the plugins folder, but after installation on the server, the plugin site_upgrade is also present. Where does this come from?
In the procedure described at installation and upgrading, the plugins folder is not updated. Same with moving described in moving and changing existing installations the plugins folder is not moved to the new server. Do the plugins mentioned in question 1. not need to be upgraded or moved? If so, how is this done?

site_upgrade comes from the maintenance mode and stores the placeholder page respectively can contain a customized HTML version of it. It formerly was a plugin but was integrated in core some versions back.
The plugins folder is used for third party/custom plugins only. It can also contain overrides that some plugins allow, e.g. custm default images. But those you have to add yourself as well so you should know about those and then of course should need to move them as well. Same counts if you want to move backups or the cachce folder. Especially thte cache will be re-created if needed on a new server but you can certainly move them as well.
Officially included plugins are technically "core extensions" and within the zp-core folder's zp-extensions folder only.
