printCustomSizedImageMaxSpace and video

I am having some problems with the `printCustomSizedImageMaxSpace` and using it to make thumbs.

What happens is it will just print out the video instead of the thumb, so if you have 5 videos it will just display them all there right on the album page.

If I have a short think about it, this error makes 100% sens. I am just wondering it has to be a way for the `printCustomSizedImageMaxSpace` to skip getting the video file and just get the image with the same name to make the thumb.

  • Edit: As well just popped into my head, as I am a big GPS fan.

would it be possible as well to make it print a Google map from the information it gets from the thumb? As to my knowledge it is not possible to put GPS coordinates into video files and make Zenphoto read it

The maxspace functions should actually use the video thumb if it exists. These functions are just a wrapper for the normal functions actually. But I will take a look.

I can't help with the GPS things since I don't use that (I don't take photos at all). I would think no since the video would be the actual Zenphoto item not the video thumb. But maybe sbillard will know more about that.
  • Thanks Malte. Lets hope Stephen takes a look at the GPS thing and responds with some answers.

Sorry for a quick follow up. Have you managed to reproduce the problem with the thumbs and the videos.

Yes, unfortunatly I can reproduce it.
  • Sorry, the EXIF info is taken only from the actual image. So video will not have it.
  • @sbillard

So there would be no way for the system to extract this information from the image with the same name used to create the thumb for the video.

Well basically just doing the same thing it does already with the thumb just adding the feature of extracting the EXIF as well.

No, since internally the video is the item, not the videothumb replacement.
