XMP-MP, face recognition and ZenPhoto

XMP-MP is the standard to describe people information and region their faces appear on the photo. XMP-MP can be embedded in JPEG files with tools as exiftools and exiv2.

Face recognition software as Picasa can generate geometrical metadata that can later be embedded in JPEGs using XMP-MP standard. I'm finishing one of these integration tools.

At the end, one single JPEG file will also have information about who it there and where in the photo they are visible. Pretty much as the Facebook photo album experience.

I'd like to know what are the plans for XMP-MP support in ZenPhoto. I couldn't find any extension supporting it. ZenPhoto only support simple keyword tagging today and it doesn't seem very flexible or useful (for example: show me photos tagged with A and B). Will tagging on ZenPhoto also support other dimensions as people ?

    You can do that using the search.
