Hi,
My gallery index page looks wrong in IE, everything is over to the left hand side. In firefox it looks fine.
It is ONLY the Gallery Index page that is wrong, the view of image thumbnails in the albums is fine in either browser.
Its probably only something simple but I havent got a clue ><

Which of the 10 main IE versions are you referring to?

I'm guessing you are referring either to an old version of IE or you have set compatibility mode for your site.
It looks identical to me using IE10 or FireFox.

EDIT: just read the rules (my bad)I shall trying installing via FTP to see if that resolves the problem.

I doubt the install will make a difference. Besides if it is the current version of simplescripts, they have fixed all the issues by running the setup program directly.
I have been using Effervescence for years now and not seen such an issue. Maybe try visiting http://testalbum.sbillard.org/page/gallery/ and see how that looks on your IE9. I do not have IE9 available any more, but when did use it until IE10 came out recently.

Yeah that looks fine.
Luckily I hadnt done much so its no big deal trying it again.
