when users are uploading from the backend they are not being able to upload as they are being shown that no album is selected. But in the register.php plugin options i have set to create an album automatically for the respective user. so what should i do?

Do they really have the rights to upload at all? Just creating the album might not be enough.

I went over through my settings again and saw all rights were set properly for the user.
The rights for every new user is set as:
view fullimage
upload
view gallery
view search
post comments
user

but the thing is when i check the managed albums section from the user profile( i am having a primary album that has been created automatically by the register.php script and a sub album underneath it) i found out that the primary album checkbox ticked with only the edit checkbox ticked whereas the subalbum checkbox isnt ticked but its edit,upload and view unpublished checkboxes are ticked. Any tips about it?

Rights can only be assigned to top level albums. So all sub albums inherit.

I couldnt get you..are my rights setting correct? If so then according to you my primary album mut have the upload checkbox ticked then why it isnt ticked?

I can't answer as I said I never used the plugin and its primary album myself. Did you try to check the upload rights then?

yep..as i already said above about the rights i have set. A request..can you try the plugin yourself and give some advice or can you ask your colleagues about it?

My advice would be to check the upload box.

it cant be checked..since i am having the "user" rights set for the user hence those rights settings are only readable.

If you have a group or template assigned to the user the fields all come from that source. Check the box "*no group selected" to disconnect the user from those groups.

the template that is assigned for the admin is the same for all the users and no groupbhas been made. I am using the zp-masonary theme. By the way, from where do i get the *no group selected checkbox? Is it from the theme options?

All user stuff is either on the user tab or the related plugin options.

I dnt know what happened...I switched om the user group(till now i had this option deactivated) option and registered a new user. The upload option now works. Then just out of curiosity i again deactivated the user group option and then again registered a new user. It now shows the upload option too without the error. Anyhow it is working well on my wampserver but dont know whether these errors will occur when i host my site. Finally, a big thank you...You guys are great..!!
