Coming back after several months away from Zenphoto (no time to spend on the development of my gallery).
I first upgraded to the last version before trying to pick up where I left... However, I can see that several themes are not working any longer: mine, but also Garland, zpGallerific and zpMasonry, all of them because of functions or classes missing.

In fact, the only themes that appear to work are Default, Effervescence+ and Zenpage.

Before I begin to comb every line of code, is there any modification that has been made recently to the theme structure and I should be aware of?

Garland is official and for sure works with 1.4.5.x unless you use an older version naturally.
There have been some changes which were noted on the lengthly 1.4.5 release post.

zpGalleriffic and zpMasonry are third party. zpGalleriffic does is broken because the Galleriffic script used is not developed anymore and therefore not compatible with the current jQuery that Zenphoto ships anymore.

Gjr the author of these has announced on his site's comments that he will stop developing some of his themes, including zpGalleriffic and zpMasonry because of lacking time and resources (he told me he has new stuff in the works). For zpMasonry I had helped with some fixes but I don't know if he will release a final version before abandoning.

Best you enable the deprecated_functions plugin to help you debug.

As for the Garland theme: That works for me.

Sorry for the disturbance: the culprit seems to have been a deactivated extension.
I was already in 1.4.5, by the way. But I guess I've got to get used to ZP again: it's been a bit too long since I put my hands in the code...

Same problem here. I had to change to default theme. The logs only told me that the printadmintoolbox needed to be unchecked in deprecated functions, but I tried that without success. Fact is I just need to start my theme from scratch using the new defaults.

If it is really only that error you get all you need to do is to remove the call to the toolbox. And this also was specifically announced with 1.4.5 as well:
