User rights management - Akil - 2014-07-02 Hello everyone, I am struggling to find out how to set user permissions in zp 1.4.6 Thanks for the support User rights management - acrylian - 2014-07-02 Have you read this already? http://www.zenphoto.org/news/an-overview-of-zenphoto-users#rules-of-protection-andvisibility-for-zenphoto-obj User rights management - Akil - 2014-07-02 Yes I did. Actually I did right before I posted this. But almost everything it says there I had figuered out by myself already. So I couldnt find anything there helping me out :/ User rights management - Akil - 2014-07-02 Since my options are displayed in german and I dont know how to change it just for a screenshot it might be hard to figure out what it says, but maybe if you know which box toggles which option .. this secreenshop of my current setting will help you figure out what my problem is. Screenshot: http://bit.ly/1qxUiEy Unfortunately it doesn't say anthing about these settings on the site you posted :/ User rights management - acrylian - 2014-07-02 It is as written there actually. If you want to hide albums you need to protect them specifially. Otherwise everything public can be seen by anyone. User rights management - Akil - 2014-07-02 Well the whole galery is not published and password protected User rights management - acrylian - 2014-07-02 You can switch the language on the options. Actually since we are only supporting in English (well, I do understand German though), you should always do that. We just expect it. Quote:These are the setting I use when the user can see all albums, but can see only the content of 4 of them .. for the rest it shown just a question mark instead of the album thumbnail and the albums are empty. User rights management - Akil - 2014-07-02 Sorry, can't find where to change the language of the admin-interface .. only for the galery itself. So what you are saying is that you cannot hide albums at all .. just lock its content. Thats a pitty, but ok. EDIT: User rights management - acrylian - 2014-07-02 The language option is on Options > General > Language The lock image is shown unless a password has been entered already. User rights management - Akil - 2014-07-02 Hm, I changed the language to english there before already but it didn't do anything .. maybe I need to relog to make it take effect. I will try that later, thanks. So it's not possible to replace neiter the questionmark nore the thumbnail .. too bad. I hope this option will be implemented in the future or .. even better .. it will be possible to completely hide unaccessible albums - that would be perfect. User rights management - acrylian - 2014-07-02 Maybe your server has no English locale then it will not work although it is the default languague. I had it on my shared host as well. They installed one for me in a minute though. Quote:So it's not possible to replace neiter the questionmark nore the thumbnail Completely hiding is also possible on the theme side but as said will confuse pagination. If there is maybe another way via filters/plugin I cannot answer at the moment. Actually I have admit I rarely use these features myself (a former colleague did). You can always open a ticket to suggest something. User rights management - fretzl - 2014-07-02 Quote:Is there no way to show him only the 4 albums he can actually access? Note that after you save the settings the checkboxes are all checked again but the settings are saved. User rights management - Akil - 2014-07-02 Unfortunately this didnt change anything. no matter if I set or remove the checkmark in front of the album name. he can always see the album and the questionmark/thumbnails :/ User rights management - fretzl - 2014-07-03 It should look something like this: |
