Want to know if I delete an image from album would that clear up the cache of that image as well automatic ?

I have dumped about 1500 images to my site I just moved to live domain. the actual gallery is size of 500mb around and the cache is of 1gb and Am planning to dump about double the images count we have right now and continue for which I am worried.
Say I clean up few images from each album and it does not clear up cache of that image then the cache folder would keep on expanding for un necessary.

Yes, the outdated cache files are kept so technically it grows if you add other new images. This seems to have been forgotten and probably should indeed be looked after.
