I am just trying to install Zenphoto 1.2.6. As with a previous posting (http://www.zenphoto.org/support/topic.php?id=6256#post-36129) my provider does not support gettext() and setlocale(). I get this error when I run setup.php like the previous author Localization and Locale Functionality are not essential for what I'm doing. The previous posting suggested that the user should use the nightly build but I am anxious not to install something that may be inherently unstable is there another way around this?

Yes, install gettext and setlocale support on your server..:-) Sorry, no, the nightly builds is what becomes Zenphoto 1.2.7 soon and has therefore many issues of 1.2.6 fixed. With testing that you help us to avoid new issues, too.

Well, let me see. The 1.2.6 version does not work for you yet you are reluctant to install something that might work? What do you really have to loose?
