I am a GIT noob...

is the "https://github.com/zenphoto/zenphoto" the location of the 1.58RC?

I have been going through some gyrations getting to the files... Is there a direct link to the files?

You don't need to understand/use Git or GitHub itself. The current master - in this case 1.5.8RC which naturally changes after 1.5.8 is release - can be downloaded directly. Two ways:

  1. On our download page is a direclt link named "Support build (GitHub master)"
  2. On https://github.com/zenphoto/zenphoto you find a green button named "Code" on the right. If you click on it it folds out and at the bottom you find a "Download ZIP" link.
