The plugin says, "Subtitle and chapter support for videos (NOTE: NOT IMPLEMENTED YET!)". Will this be implemented in the near future?

Sorry, not planned for the near future. But the player will probably replace jPlayer as the default player in the next major release. However it will be reworked due to some internal different setup then anyway.
