hello, i get the error mentioned in the title when trying to submit a contact form, how do i set a mail handler?

You have to enable and configure an e-mail plugin. To to plugins/mail to accomplish this. Enable a handler and set its options.

Just see the plugins tab and the category "Mail" to find zenphoto_sendmail or PHPMailer.
