dynamic albums.. wow!! but just one thing.. - BertSimons - 2008-03-04 is it just me or is it a little bug that the dynamic album itself shows up as an album in the dynamic album.. see http://www.bertsimons.nl/zenphoto/index.php?album=various/velomobile%20dynamic.alb&page=1 dynamic albums.. wow!! but just one thing.. - sbillard - 2008-03-04 It is not really a bug, but it is a problem that can be addressed. As you know, dynamic albums are really just a search. So, if your search criteria happens to get a match on the album itself, the album will show up in itself. This often happens if you include folder names or titles in the search fields. For dynamic albums, the best thing is to use only TAGS as the search field. Then don't put the tag on the dynamic album. Alternatively, you can place a tag in dynamic albums identifying them as such and just add a & ! to your search criteria for the dynamic album. dynamic albums.. wow!! but just one thing.. - trisweb - 2008-03-05 I think it's safe to say we can always remove the dynamic album from its own search results, considering they're already there. If it's easy, anyway. It's not a big deal, just a little confusing. dynamic albums.. wow!! but just one thing.. - sbillard - 2008-03-05 Well, the difficulty is that we don't know that the search is part of a dynamic album when we are doing it, so we would be removing the dynamic albums from any search. dynamic albums.. wow!! but just one thing.. - sbillard - 2008-03-05 Turns out it was not too hard to privide knowledge of the dynamic album to the search. With tonight's build the album will no longer include itself dynamic albums.. wow!! but just one thing.. - trisweb - 2008-03-06 Thanks That seems to make more sense. |
