I am completely and utterly new to this, so I'm looking for a bit of help.

first, I'd like to create a subalbum for one of my existing albums. specifically... I am a wedding photographer, and I would like to have one main category (ex. Weddings) then when you click on that, have all the weddings I've done listed. is that possible? and if so, how do I do it?

second, is there any way to change the focus of the thumbnail? the thumbnail pictures for all my albums are cutting off heads and stuff, so I was wondering if there was a way to move the picture so you can control what you see in the thumbnail box.

1. Yes, sure, either you can create subalbums via upload interface in the admin (should be pretty self explanatory) or you just upload folders via ftp into that album (think of character limitations on servers).

2. Sorry, currently not. That feature is on our list and if you like you can vote for it on the poll on our news page.

cutting off heads -- it's a special feature of ZenPhoto. I think the app is designed to collect them (heads) and float them off into cyberspace Got that too. Playing with some of the sizing helped. My Theme is Default and the Theme Options, I have all checkmarks checked.

you should uncheck "Crop thumbnails" in the image display options

Actually, not sure why but CHECKING crop ending up working for me. I got my (and other) heads back on our shoulders, whew! Thumbs are not true resize of original (as done in image edit programs), but close enough.

When you created your subalbums, did you use one image on your opening Gallery page then click that to the thumbs for each wedding album? Or, are the image sizes of your wedding albums larger than thumbs but not as large as Sized Image? I'm trying subalbum and it's not looking good.
