I would like to know if there is already a feature to add a contact form on image.php instead a comment form which sends mail to the gallery owner and includes the actual image title in the subject...
my friend does not want to use a commercial ordersystem like shutterfly or paypal, he just wants to give somebody the chance to contact him if he wants to a painting of the gallery

for sure I can write a commentforum, but if something like that exists already, it would be great!

There is no such feature at present. You could easily place an e-mail link on the page. Then the viewer would click on that link and send a regular e-mail. Unfortunately, that won't fill in any information in the body of the email.

Connie: There are a lot of ready to use php comment form scripts out there. Even to add some info to the above mention mail would be not that hard, I think (described here for example: http://personalweb.about.com/cs/beginninghtml/a/0201emaillinks.htm)

yes, I think it will be very simple to built a contact form into image.php
and use the image-title in the subject as that is available in the template

just thought that there could be an existing plugin already...

You always find every available (third party) extension on our extensions page. If it's not here or in the release, it's not existing (or we don't know about...:-)).

Maybe you could write it as a plugin, then we would have one..:-)
