As I'm starting over again from scratch: I had this option in my old index.php, positioned where I wanted in the code and formatted with the css. I know from posts and trac stuff has changed but not sure if the actual code has or can I do a direct copy over from my old index.php page and "behind the scenes" will have whatever changes you made?

Tried reading the Procedural File: template-functions.php but didn't find the code to copy in or missed it.
