Cannot comment using Cimi theme - jimbob - 2008-06-13

Hello,

Has anyone had any problems leaving comments using the Cimi theme? I cannot leave any on my site (http://www.imaginata.co.uk/zenphoto/) and I've tried a few other sites I've found on the net with the same result. Maybe people are using this theme and not realising that comments can't be left? I have looked through this forum and found only one mention of this problem but no answer was given. Can anybody help?

Many thanks,

Jimbob

I have exactly the same problem with jimbob when I use ChaoticSoul theme. Is there anyone know about this problem?

Try to contact the theme's author. These are third party themes not officially supported by us (we just don't have the time). But if you solve this, we will glady add the corrected theme to our themes page.

I have the same problem, has anyone contacted the original creator of the theme CIMI?

Hi,
I do realise that Cimi is third party but I've no idea how to contact the creator of Cimi. All links I've found to the authors site are dead. I was just hoping someone on here had been able to fix the problem because the Cimi theme is easily my favourite.

Sorry, I didn't know that the theme's author has "dissapeared". I am not familiar with that theme, but I suggest you take a look at the included default theme which seems not to be that different.

Cimi's theme doesn't contain a CAPTCHA field so you'll have to turn off the check on it in the admin panel (or add a CAPTCHA to the comment input):
Go to your admin panel -> Options -> Comment Configuration -> Uncheck captcha at "Require fields:" -> Save

Vincent, you're a star. Your tip worked like a dream. Thank you very much (and thanks acrylian too).

Cheers,

Jimbob
