Translation: Portuguese language

Hi all,

Just wanted to know if anyone had worked on a Portuguese language version?

I know zero Portuguese.

I didnt want to just add a ticket as I'm not sure how to go about this.

If there's anyone out there who could help that would be great.

All the best

glenn

We have Brazilian-Portuguese, but not updated for a long time, as can be seen here: http://www.zenphoto.org/trac/report/9

May I ask why you are interessted in the language if you don't know it yourself?

Hi,

I have a Portuguese translation of 1.4.1.4 available, It´s about 90% complete but I had a error on Poedit and it shows 100% translated.
I just don´t know how to share the translation here and how to update to the latest version but when I find out how I will share it.

Please review the translation tutorial on the user guide if you haven't already. All necessary info is found there. There is already a ticket about Portugues:
http://www.zenphoto.org/trac/ticket/793
and for Brazilian Portugues:
http://www.zenphoto.org/trac/ticket/561

Hi! I'm working in Brazilian Portuguese translation for myself. If you share your translation, I would like merge it and share it to community.

More languages are always welcome. Please read on our translation tutorial and join our google translation group. Translation tickets are now not used anymore.

We have updated the translation tutorial now. There is a translators group, see the footer below, that you should join. On that group post to see if anyone is still active in Portuguese work.

There is a very old translation from three years ago--http://www.zenphoto.org/trac/ticket/561 that may be helpful to you. But there will have been quite a lot of change since then.

The tutorial will tell you how to go about making a translation and making it available to the community. We welcome your contributions.

Hi, how is the Portuguese translation? I would like to install it. Are there any .mo files? Can I help?

Translation: Portuguese language - acrylian - 18-05-2013

He never responded or re-appeared anywhere. We don't have any Portuguese translation. So you are welcome to do one after reading the translation tutorial.

In any case you should use the 1.4.5 branch, not the 1.4.4.5 master branch if you decide to start one.

Thanks acrylian. I'm already working on a Portuguese translation (and using it). Where can I get the 1.4.5?

Translation: Portuguese language - sbillard - 16-06-2013

We have all our source on github: https://github.com/zenphoto/zenphoto

Since it is not obvious for people new to github, you need to click on the arrow on the "branch:master" button and switch to the 1.4.5 branch. That branch will become the master after the release.

Then you need to clone that on your computer and parse it using Poedit (or similar tools) to create the translation files and work on them.
