Hi everybody. Just did a clean install of 1.2.5. I deleted everything since I had a very old version running. I even setup a new database. Anyhow the install went fine and even ZP worked but then strange things have been happening.

1. Password protected albums are not protected but public.

2. Unpublished albums are displayed.

3. Freshly typed album descriptions vanish after reload.

4. Theme colors for the default theme do not change.

etc. etc.

I tried again with the latest nightly. Of course before that I purged the ZP cache and my browser cache. I reset the database.

Nothing has helped.

I am on DREAMHOST.

All the basic functions work.

I have been away a while so maybe there are new tricks I do not know. But I have never yet had an install issue.

What am I doing wrong?

1./2. The loggedin admin sees of course all (it's like that since forever..:-))

3./4. Did you really save after entering the description (just asking..:-)). Otherwise there might be a problem with the database. Any errors in the log?

Of course. I tried from a different browser/computer.

Yes, repeatedly. Nothing doing.

Anyway I fixed the problem by installing the 07/09/09 nightlies from scratch after dropping tables etc. During this installation setup.php warned me that the certain locale files in zp_core have a bad date or something. But I ignored it and all is well.

Thanks for responding. Incidentally the new (beta) flash slideshow plugin is supercool. I hope it become part of the standard feature set.

Ok, probably it was a db mismatch somehow.

Sorry, the flash slides show will not become a standard feature as we include only stuff that we (that is sbillard and me) actually can and will maintain.
