Add pagination to edit page - doku - 2009-08-20 Hey, would it be possible to add a pagination to the edit page or maybe use a twitter-like more button at the bottom of the page? I've got about 200 albums and it is very annoying to load them every time i am going to add a new album. http://www.abload.de/image.php?img=edit7sms.png Add pagination to edit page - acrylian - 2009-08-20 Sorry, not without breaking the drag & drop sorting. We actually recommend to use sub albums extensivly. Add pagination to edit page - doku - 2009-08-20 And maybe another version of the page which shows just the last 10 albums? Add pagination to edit page - ronniebrasco - 2010-10-25 Has there been a fix for this yet? Add pagination to edit page - kagutsuchi - 2010-10-25 There is no "fix" because, as was said in the other thread and this one, there is a good reason why it is the way it is. You have been given answers in both threads to this effect. The three solutions are:
If you feel that you have a better system that could be implemented for the admin-edit page without breaking drag-and-drop sorting, please do suggest it. See ticket #862; there are possible solutions to this issue, but those solutions will take a lot of work to implement. Conversely, there are workarounds to the issue which are much simpler. Add pagination to edit page - ronniebrasco - 2010-10-25 Some people need only to edit, some people like to drag and drop. For the people that drag and drop frequently are usually artist, fashion, or photographers who want to have a image resume for their galleries. Usually they dont have thousands of albums, as their are more selective with their work and how its perceived to the public eye. On the other hand you have companies that upload galleries daily like myself who has 15 photographers that cover 30-50 events a week, with about 200 pictures each album. We dont drag and drop order. We place albums in the order it was recieved/date of event. A solution would be to give tab or button for type of album editing interface needed. Using drag and drop ajax interface, or plain php page with list of galleries and buttons to edit them. Remember, the bandwidth intensive and time consuming ajax album edit page is not always needed. So the idea I suggest will help atleast half of your clients. Now if someone wants to drag and drop thousands of albums in different orders, then I can help with that lol Add pagination to edit page - sbillard - 2010-10-25 Also, just fyi, there is absolutly no need for you to load the album tab to add a new album. You use the front-end admin toolbox or FTP to make the album and again use the toolbox to edit that album directly. As sbillard said already, feel free to file a ticket. |
