ver 1.2.1 single installation with 2 core folders - youngelm - 16-09-2009 My installation of ZenPhoto http://youngelm.com/pix contains both subfolders: /zen & /zp-core. They are identical even to the admin date & time. How did this happen? What can I safely do? I've been using this for about a year without a hitch. Now my WordPress plugin ZenPhotoPress isn't displaying any photos. So I install the WP & ZPP updates. ZPP claims to find the album but no photos. I go to admin ZP, flush the database, clear the cache, upload some photos, etc. Still nothing on wordpress. I even wait overnight. Today I go into MySQL using PhpMyAdmin and I get an error about linked-tables not allowed. lots of searching and I see these 2 core components. Any help? ver 1.2.1 single installation with 2 core folders - sbillard - 16-09-2009 So probably you did not delete the old files/folders before installing Zenphoto as reacommended. ver 1.2.1 single installation with 2 core folders - youngelm - 17-09-2009 Thanks for your reply, I never had an older version. This was my 1st install of Zenphoto. I may have created the zen folder for some other use & it became populated? I have renamed /zen to /old-zen & it seems to be working ok. Should I try deletion? When I go into Admin and select "Refresh the Database" What should I see? Should I get a confirmation? As yet I see nothing except the page refreshes. ver 1.2.1 single installation with 2 core folders - sbillard - 17-09-2009 There is no way that there is a folder named The page should refresh and there shold be a confirmation that fades away after a short period of time. ver 1.2.1 single installation with 2 core folders - youngelm - 17-09-2009 This is weird. I just archived the contents of /old-zen into old-zen.zip. and old-zen.zip is in BOTH /old-zen & /zp-core??? Linked-tables indeed. I am on-hold to my hosting server now. Any ideas? ver 1.2.1 single installation with 2 core folders - youngelm - 17-09-2009 If I delete one I delete the other. ver 1.2.1 single installation with 2 core folders - sbillard - 17-09-2009 Well, I think you need to discuss this with your provider. Certainly not something Zenphoto has anything to do with. Probably cross linked folders as well as tables. ver 1.2.1 single installation with 2 core folders - youngelm - 17-09-2009 They are reviewing my entire file structure to find out why this happened. Thanks again. To your earlier post. I did not update Zenphoto. I am running 1.2.1. My folder dates are 10-01-08. I created the zen subfolder (for some forgotten reason) I only updated wordpress & the zenphotopress plugin using the wordpress update function. Sorry about the confusion. ver 1.2.1 single installation with 2 core folders - sbillard - 17-09-2009 Zenphotopress is dependent on the zenphoto version, so you need to keep them in sync. That could be the cause of your problems. |
