Comments and Image titles have gone - Photoashes - 2010-08-31
Dear All,
My theme was working fine yesterday but this morning (without touching anything - I was at work) all the comments have disappeared in my latest album only.
Any ideas how/what/why? Could it be a bug in the theme?
UPDATE - In my admin under comments, the comments are there but says "database error" next to it...

Well you will have to figure out the database error and probably reload your database from a backup. Probably should also consult your service provider to see what might have caused the problem in the first place.

IF it was only one album, could it have something to do with the folder permissions of that album?

Are you asking because the permissions have been changed? I'm not sure that permissions would have anything to do with a database error, but the easiest way of finding out would be to revert the permissions.
Otherwise, as sbillard said, you'll need to figure out the root of the error before we can really have any idea what exactly is happening.

Database errors are not related to file permissions. All the commentary is stored in the database, so if there is an error, it probably cannot be retrieved.
