when I copy a photo the tags are not duplicated - Rousset - 2010-09-24 Hello, When I copy photos from an album to another one, using the copy button, the captions are duplicated, but not the tags. Is it normal? It takes a long time to add the tags so I hope there is a way to copy them. Thank you. when I copy a photo the tags are not duplicated - acrylian - 2010-09-24 What Zenphoto version? when I copy a photo the tags are not duplicated - Rousset - 2010-09-24 Sure. If this is what you were thinking about, I went inside the user guide about how to create a dynamic album. This way, tags remain available. It would be perfect, except that in the image description section (zp-galleriffic theme), the photos of the dynamic album are no more in their dynamic album. Instead, they are back in the album from where they have been taken in the first place. So it's pretty much useless. I don't know if there's another way to create new real albums, with already existing photos, without getting rid of the tags. when I copy a photo the tags are not duplicated - acrylian - 2010-09-24 You did not tell what Zenphoto version you are using. There has been a bug with this in older ones. Copying an image using hte backend functions should keep all info with the image. So if you are not using 1.3.1.2 I have to recommend to upgrade. If the the tag lost is happing with that release please file a ticket. Images (and albums) in a dynamic album of course stay in their original album. That is the concept of these dynamic albums, collect stuff from the static ones on a given search request. Zenphoto is fileysystem based, there is no way around that except copying images to another album if you really want them in another album. Another way is to attach title, descriptions, tags etc via EXIF metadata directly to the image before uploading. when I copy a photo the tags are not duplicated - Rousset - 2010-09-24 I did the upgrade from ZP 1.3.1.1 to ZP 1.3.1.2 one week ago. No trouble. I resume my 2 points:
Should I post a ticket for this one then? Thanks! when I copy a photo the tags are not duplicated - sbillard - 2010-09-25 Yes, create a ticket for the not copied tags. Unfortunately our ticket system is not setup to provide support for third party themes. when I copy a photo the tags are not duplicated - acrylian - 2010-09-25 @Rousset: I think your first point is really a theme issue we can't support as it is 3rd party. Please try a standard theme like the Zenpage theme and you will see it generally works (if for some reason not come back and report that..) when I copy a photo the tags are not duplicated - Rousset - 2010-09-28 Hello, Thanks... when I copy a photo the tags are not duplicated - acrylian - 2010-09-28 Sorry, I am not able to reproduce this with the current svn or nightly: Try yourself on my demo site: We currently do not really recommend to try the nightly as we are restructuring some things which involves theming changes (see our website for info). when I copy a photo the tags are not duplicated - Rousset - 2010-09-28 I just went to the demo site. I was inside the cosmos album. If you can't reproduce that, so I have a "local" issue, the kind I don't like :-) when I copy a photo the tags are not duplicated - acrylian - 2010-09-28 I can indeed not reproduce that. I am on image 9..;-) Check your browser and server settings regarding cookies. The dynamic album context which is a search context is stored via these (or alternatively sessions if you set that option on the zp backend), |
