This is the SECOND SVN move in the last month; PLEASE update your records and switch your working copies over.

Attention all developers, tweakers, testers and early adopters! For anyone previously using the Berlios SVN repository, then the OpenSVN repository, please switch over to the new NEW one located here:

http://www.zenphoto.org/svn

That's the actual repository path, and anonymous checkout is enabled. Neither of the old repositories will be updated, and they should not even work anymore.

That officially severs all our ties to slow bulky cumbersome Berlios and nice but unmanaged OpenSVN. I'll be deleting the berlios project within the month.

I apologize for moving it a second time, but it was forced -- there were actual errors in the repository (svn techies: bad 'keyword' tags in luckyspin's adds :-P) that had to be manually resolved, and the other host did not have shell svn administration capabilities to do so. The one I'm using now is on my own hosting account, so it will stay there for a long time to come. It's fast too! Enjoy~

Note to anyone who gets errors accessing the SVN repository. I was stuck in the SVN dark ages using 1.2. 1.2 client can't access this repository.

This is the first repository I use that needs a new SVN client. 1.4 is working for me.

@tomfakes and everyone else -- that should no longer be a problem with the www.dh.trisweb.com/zenphoto repository -- it's using 1.1.4. Old, but it works.

Ever thought of using something like trac to manage things better? your svn script isnt to useful IMHO.

READ AGAIN! IMPORTANT: SVN Repository Moved AGAIN! - trisweb - 2006-11-26

Yeah, I was thinking of installing WebSVN.

The HTTP access through SVN is just what it comes with. Ideally you should use the command line client to check it out, or something like TortoiseSVN for Windows. Google it.

i wasnt really talking about checkout issues, i was more concerned about being able to easily see different file versions, change logs, and file source on the web. Trac has kind of turned into the standard for SVNs

plus is has integrated wiki, feature/bug reporting, task lists, and of course road maps. Plus its easy for people to checkout a snapshot as well.

Confluence and JIRA are excellent for the latter features (the best available, IMHO), and they have been established already for this project. I'm sticking with them. We should have them hosted again soon.

I will look at Trac more, but it sounds like you're just evangelizing. I've never found it to be the most useful software available... quite the contrary, actually. But that's just me.

sorry, i didnt mean to be evangelizing. I have absolutely nothing to do with that project other than I use it with some other open source projects im involved in. I just really hate broken up sites where its hard to track things down. And you have to admit what your using for an svn gui is quite pitiful.

Again, I really love the gallery and im not trying to cause problems. Was just trying to make a suggestion that might help you and the community that uses your projects.

I did admit what I'm using for an SVN GUI is pitiful -- "The HTTP access through SVN is just what it comes with." As in, I never upgraded it and never intended its use over the web. ;-) I will install WebSVN for that purpose, but I'm short on time working on the next release...

I do appreciate the suggestions and I know you're trying to help! I'm sorry if I sounded affronted, I was just missing JIRA and Confluence, as I unfortunately can't stand Trac. I wish I could.

Thanks for your posts, really, I take them to mean I'm not providing enough to the community, which is good feedback. I'll try to get the old Wiki and bug tracker up as soon as possible, and I'll install WebSVN for browsing the repository.

http://www.zenphoto.org/trac/browser for better web access :-)

And look at that, we're using Trac now... who woulda thought?

Yay! We're back online!

I'm working on the FAQ as we speak, so hopefully I'll have something later today for everyone to start looking at.

(Glad to have a wiki again)

Nice FAQ.

Thanks. Work in progress, but it's a good start. Looking forward to your theming guide.

Just FYI guys I can recover pretty much any former Wiki content you want, just let me know.

READ AGAIN! IMPORTANT: SVN Repository Moved AGAIN! - trisweb - 2007-02-05

And I'll definitely do that for the theme repository page :-)

Yeah, if you can recover my guide then, that would be great. I still have the images for it just in case you don't.
