Problem with Aruba and Zenphoto - fabiozeb - 14-07-2011

Hello guys, i installed successfully zenphoto on my website on Tophost, without having problems. Now i try to install zenphoto on my final website, based on Aruba, but after upload all files by ftp, when i go to setup i see this:

http://www.juventusclubmeda.it/zenphoto/zp-core/setup.php

I don't know php language, the other time i configured only database and then works perfectly. What can i do to resolve error and problems?
Thanks for your help.

Setup indicates several issues.

a) The file/folder permissions are not set correctly which the text warnings on top of the page (which tell that "Permission denied"). See the troubleshooting about the right ones to set or ask your host.

b) The first error tells you exactly what do do. If you don't know how you need to ask your host.

c) The 2nd error is caused by a).

The other three warnings do explain what they are about. Perform a web search or again ask your host for help.

Hi, thanks for your help, can you look now?

Maybe i am little stupid, but i don't understand how can i resolve this: PHP Register Globals [is set] .
And about permission, how can i set manually from loose (0777) to strict (0755) (if i do it right...) ?

Thanks

  1. As said contact your host.
  2. You do this via your FTP program. Or ask your host as well.

On Aruba it's impossible to access file php.ini. So i can't use zenphoto?

I am afraid yes, if Aruba denies to change that setting for you.

I would not want to use a provider that defaulted that setting to on anyway. Way too insecure a site.

But you can contact Aruba and ask them to change the setting.

I'm waiting their reply, thanks.
