image location - akehat - 2012-02-29 In the past I've used an older version of zenphoto, and the images were all neatly under the albums folder. image location - akehat - 2012-02-29 just to clarify - I tried uploading images to subfolders under albums/ . image location - acrylian - 2012-02-29 Images are still stored in the same place as you used. Did you upload via FTP or backend? If the latter your permissions might be wrong, the images too big for the server upload/POST limits. image location - akehat - 2012-02-29 I've uploaded via FTP, and then copied to the correct location with the command line. image location - sbillard - 2012-03-01 The filesystem based image & album structure has not changed since I have been involved with Zenphoto. Maybe check your installaton file structure and be sure it is what you intended. http://www.zenphoto.org/news/installation-and-upgrading Just curious: Why did you not just FTP the files to the correct location to start with? image location - akehat - 2012-03-01 the images are shared with other sites / programs. image location - acrylian - 2012-03-01 Zenphoto is not really meant or setup to use images from other sites/servers. So that maybe the problem. Please try to use Zenphoto play as intended to see if at least that works. Maybe try a fresh test install. image location - akehat - 2012-03-01 Could it be sue to the fact that the zenphoto is installed in a subdomain / subfolder (shemeshplus.com/photos/) http://photos.shemeshplus.com/ There is supposed to be 2 additional albums over here, anmely: 'mommy (copied over) & 'daddy' - FTP'ed directly to shemeshplus.com/photos/albums. image location - acrylian - 2012-03-01 Yes, especially if using modrewrite. photos.shemesplus.com is completely different address than schemesplus.com/photos as the rewrite base is different. You also need to check if the albums and also its images are published. image location - akehat - 2012-03-01 It definitely worked with my previous host (hostmonster). I'm now with dreamhost.
What do you mean by this? image location - akehat - 2012-03-01 Also - why cant I see the files that I've uploaded via the flash uploader? e.g. http://photos.shemeshplus.com/friedman/ image location - fretzl - 2012-03-01 I can see all photo's. Try clearing your browser cache. image location - acrylian - 2012-03-01 I can also see four pages of images in the friedman album. image location - akehat - 2012-03-01 I wasn't clear; [naos]$ pwd image location - kagutsuchi - 2012-03-01 Images are not stored in the
Example output will be something like this (taken from my test server): ` 1 directory, 2 files image location - acrylian - 2012-03-01 Additionally "gallery" images are never uploaded to the /uploaded folder (as I saw that in the list). That is used for outside gallery items only (separate upload subtab on the admin if enabled). image location - akehat - 2012-03-02 I know that images are not stored directly in the albums folder. image location - acrylian - 2012-03-02 Ahm, I can see those two albums "test" and "friedman" on your site. So they must be there and when I access a full iamge the url clearly tells that as well: Are you sure your are looking in the right directory?..;-) image location - akehat - 2012-03-03
You wouldn't believe it... dreamhost decided to move me to a different server... This is from the email I got Feb 29:
And they left the old one intact too, so I disregarded that email. So, now that I logged in to the new server, I found 'test' & 'friedman' under albums. Thank all for your help. image location - sbillard - 2012-03-03 Well, I have to admit that this is a new one for me. No wonder you were confused! |
