first off thank you for you hard work and contribution. I really enjoy using the gallery.

However, I encountered a problem and hope you can help.

I installed zenphoto as private gallery. Access shall be granted to different user groups. I am planning a structure with a lot of subalbums on different levels.

Granting access for certain unpublished albums for a group works like a charm. It only shows the albums the group has access to.

But I didn't find out how to grant and decline access to subalbums.

Is there a way to grant access on the subalbum level for the different groups?

Example: The album is 2012. Subalbums family, friends and work exist. For each of the subalbums a user groups exists, that shall have access only to their subalbum.

Any help is appreciated.

That is not possible mainly for performance matters as Zenphoto's gallery part is file system based. You can only assign top level albums incl. childs. You can however set direct guest passwords on sub albums as well.
