v1.4.2.3 js driven live edit feature - kimotay - 01-05-2012

Hello!!My most recent hardcore ZP usage was in 2008, with v1.1.5, and at that point, i was fairly well versed in the install and functions.

Now i've come back to it, i'm installing a fresh version of 1.4.2.3, and I noticed that the Ajax(?) feature which allowed you to edit the information regarding the album (title, description, tags) from the 'view' screen is not working.

  • i've individually applied all the approved themes to check
  • I know i'm logged in, the admin toolbox in the footer works perfectly

Has it been removed? I searched around, and really couldn't find any discussion about it in the last few years. I loved that feature. Is it an option or plugin i need to turn on somewhere?

Any help would be great. Thanks!

It's an unsupported plugin now.

Note that this plugin is not secure!
Please read the comment that goes with it.

Oh! Thank you. That was the information i was missing. Since i'm having security issues with my hosting account, perhaps i'll stay away.

Just out of curiosity, is the description of the function printAlbumDesc() still legacy here:

http://www.zenphoto.org/documentation/functions/_template-functions.php.html#functionprintAlbumDesc

"Prints description of the current album and makes it editable in place "

Just wondering what that means? Thanks again!

Well, that means that if you use the plugin you can still make it editable.

The front end editing was remove in Zenphoto 1.4.2 btw.
