Hi,

I just installed zenphoto on vogelkennis.nl I already had it installed but I decided to start fresh and deleted my install, dl-ed the latest version and ftp-d it to my server. I ran setup. seems to go Ok, the tables are created (I checked) then the almost emtpy page stating About to update tables... and nothing else happens. I off course try to run it several times, changed the zenphoto.cfg with the right credentials but with no result. The tables are created, yet it keeps saying
"About to update tables". What is wrong? It is a IIS server.

I just visited your site. Looks like you have been hacked.
I suggest you delete your complete install, except for the albums, backup and uploaded folders.
Make a backup of your database before you do.
If you use a modified theme, look for malicous code in every file and remove it.
Then upload the latest release and try again.
Here's some reading on what's possibly happening:

There may be an issue with the IIS server. That is not a configuration that we test. Certainly IIS has worked in the past but maybe something incompatible has been accidentally introduced.

First follow fretzl's advice. If you still have problems look in you error logs and see if there are any error messages posted.

Same here, on my local server that I use for testing purposes before making changes to the real site.
I was trying to install 1.4.3 beta, updating from latest stable version, but setup stopped at "About to update tables".
Is the first time it happens, my local environment is windows 7 64, apache 2.0.51, php 5.3.0, mysql 5.1.36.
The only difference with the on line server is that the latter is running on linux, with a more recent version of apache.

sbillard uses WAMP (I think) on Windows so he may be able to help (I use MAMP on Mac).

I'm using wamp too, I'm trying to update apache to a more recent version...

... but actually I can't

even zenphoto 1.4.2.4 is not working anymore with apache 2.2.14.
Quite strange, it asks for setup scripts, they are there but nothing happens.

All older installations of zenphoto are working, same for wordpress and joomla.

Sorry, if that is Windows 7 maybe a 32 vs 64 bit mode issue? I am to less familiar with Windows. FYI, my MAMP has Apache 2.2.21 and PHP 5.3.6, my live server hides the actual version but it is Apache 2.something and PHP 5.3.12. But of course all no Windows.

@bic, any luck with this issue ?
I'm facing the same on an IIS server.

Good to know one of us at least has access to an IIS server.

For as long as it lasts ;-)

I'm reworking an existing static site to a Zenphoto version of it.
If it doesn't work I'll just advise my client to change hosts.

@fretzl:
I had to reinstall wamp to get it working from a fresh install of zenphoto.

Today I've retried the update latest-official > latest-beta and it worked without any problem.
