Install went well, although the setup script did say my MYSQL and PHP versions weren't optimal, but ok.

I appear to get a blank screen after typing in a new album name into a browser box.

It doesn't process this data in any browser and it will not allow me to continue because I can't make an album.

I have found that it is inputting a blank &album= string which is causing it not to run.
When I remove that string and reload, it appears to work correctly.

Any ideas why that happens.

If you get a blank page you always should look into your server error log and post that here. Probably something went wrong uploading. So you could try to re-upload the files.

Can you explain more? Where are you seeing this string? What exactly do you type into the browser box?

I'm experiencing this as well. I've checked the error log on the server and there isn't anything in it.

To replicate the issue this is what I do:

1. Login as my admin user to the admin area
2. Click on the "Album" tab
3. Click on the "New Album" button
4. Enter the name of the album into the "New album name" popup
5. I end up at a white / blank page with a url like this:

If I remove the &album= section of the URL and refresh the page I get taken to the familiar edit album page
