Is it possible when you resize to keep the entire picture, instead of cutting off the edges.

I am using slider theme, if that helps with the explaination.

You can turn off the cropping in the zp-config.php file. Take a look at the image processing options near the bottom.

OK, I have a slightly different issue with cropping/resizing. I like the 85x85 thumbnail, BUT because it crops rather than resizes the image, I'm currently stuck with either images that are poorly cropped, or full size thumbs that make for a really messy look as they are of various size and alignment.

Wouldn't it be possible to simply resize the image, leaving whatever extra space there is on the smallest measurement blank, so that all thumbs can be the same size, uncropped? I'd much rather have 10 pixels of white space top and bottom or left and right of a thumbnail, which is framed anyways, than seeing so many heads cut off or parts missing left and right.

Good idea, yeah... I haven't added it as an option because I figured a white box could always be done with CSS in the theme, and I still think that. You just have to get a custom image in the theme, with s=85, and then put it in an always-square 85x85 box. Much cleaner than putting white bars around the image to make it square IMHO...
