when i try to delete an old zenphoto gallery i won't delete my cache.
so i have to write my webhost an email to delete this. isn't there an other way to delete this? and is this a known problem?

I had this problem myself. I'm guessing the files inside the cache directory are being created with different permissions/ownership. The cache directory itself had the correct permissions as i had created that originally.

I got around it by using the file manager from cpanel and deleting and recreating the cache directory.

There is a way around this - which is to create the album cache folders and set the chmod to 777 manually before ftp-ing the files of new albums. A pain, but at least you dont have to rely on the hosting provider to delete cache files

Hi all,

I had the same problems, being not able to delete the cache folder.
If you want to delete the files, there is a nice little php program you can use:

http://www.solitude.dk/filethingie/download.php

At least I could remove all the trash from the cache folder.
