Hi,

Just upgraded to the latest version. The backend opens perfectly fine but the public-facing gallery itself displays a server error. You can see it here: http://www.lesliebender.com/art/

Any idea what might be wrong?

Thanks,

Please post the exact error and review your error logs, too.

Also review your file permissions. Often 500 errors are the result of the permissions of script files not matching the requirements of the server security settings.

Exact error is:
The website encountered an error while retrieving http://www.lesliebender.com/art/. It may be down for maintenance or configured incorrectly.
Error code: 500

Which file permissions should I look at? I did get a warning in setup about debug.log not having a tough enough security setting (which I have just changed)>

Would it help if I posted one of the logs (debug, setup or security)? I'm not super technical myself and not sure what I'm looking for.

Here is a link to the debug log if anyone can decipher anything from it about what might be wrong. https://www.dropbox.com/s/l97x4wz082suq0p/debug.zip

Sorry, but I cannot open that zip file. Must be corrupted.

Sorry, not sure what went wrong. I have just now copied and pasted it into a txt file. Try this: https://www.dropbox.com/s/31whwn7qq9m4otg/debug.txt

And here is the setup log:

I did a little research and realised the problem might be I am using the zpMasonry theme, which apparently is not compatible? Was an update ever released?

I have temporarily switched to a different theme and it seems to be working, but I'd love to get zpMasonry back on.

There's an updated version by @crylian available at

Thanks for that. I did some minor customisation of the theme, will uploading this overwrite all of that? If it can't be avoided I'll make do.

I have just tried uploading the new files for Masonry but still having problems. Not getting a server error anymore, but the site is not fully displaying. I think I am going to try going back to an earlier version of ZenPhoto because it's too complicated at this time to switch to another theme.

Yes, that is not avoidable. The actual theme of course cannot know about your changes.

Your issue could be permissions. You would have to check them via FTP. There is an article on our user guide about what permissions are needed. Also make sure that your .htaccess file is the correct one (Setup should have notified about that though).
