I implemented the hotlink protection as recommended in "troubleshooting", using the example .htaccess file in the /albums directory, and it seems to be working fine.
However, I tryied the same procedure in the /cache directory, and I get broken links to all thumbnail and images.
Does anyone know what can be happening? the .htaccess file should be giving my domain access to the directory, correct?

Sorry, I had no chance to look into this yet. Yes, that is how it acually should work.

I tried on my live server and it works as expected for me. I can access full images and get normally cached images. Protection is working as well according to an online test tool.

The only important thing to think of is that clearing the image cache manually also deletes the htaccess file in the cache directory.

My guess was the problem was related to the way my provider handles subdomains. I used their model, and it is working.
