I am having a problem with the auto rotation of the photos I upload from my iPhone. The landscape photos rotate correctly. The problem is with portrait. The portrait photos do rotate, but they rotate the image so that it is upside down. How can this be fixed?

Don't have any iPhone but this could be the iPhone embedding the rotation info incorrectly. We had it before that camera vendors do things off the "standard".

I also had the same problem with an Android tablet by Samsung.

I looked at the metadata of one of your original images. While it is apparently already rotated its meta data tells "Orientation: 6: 90 deg CCW'. So Zenphoto is just doing as told.

You could just disable importing the "Orientation" meta data fields (Options > Image > Metadata)

I'm having the same problem with portrait images showing upside down in ZenPhoto since version 1.4.7 (it never used to do that!).

For example this photo was taking with my Sony Xperia Z: http://files.slashorg.net/temp/IMG_20150214_220933.jpg

That would be interesting as we haven't changed anything related to that since 1.4.6 … I only remember one change in the Exif libary that affected unwanted translation of values that should not have been translated.
