Hi all:

I recently upgraded from Zenphoto 1.2.9 to the latest version, and since then, everything has been generally ok, except:

- The back end looks terrible, is there a theme I haven't upgraded?
- I can't click on any of the thumbnails in the gallery to navigate. In fact, the entire gallery doesn't work.

I can't figure out if it's a JS problem or a deprecated functions problem (since the theme zpgalleriffic is no longer supported) or some other issue.

Any idea what the problem might be? Thank you in advance.

I don't know how your backend looks like naturally and I cannot look at it. The backend is not themeable. You see on our screenshots section how it should look like. You realyl should look into your error logs if you maybe have some permission errors.

Try a reupload of the files maybe. (1.2.9 to 1.4.6 is a big jump we don't directly test althought upgrades worked from even older versions for me personally).

Howerver the problem on the image navigation on the zpGalleriffic theme is a problem of the theme. Or more exactly the Gallerffic script the theme uses. That script has not been maintained by its developer since 2009 (https://code.google.com/p/galleriffic/source/browse/#svn/trunk/example) and is not compatible with the current jQuery Zenphoto has on board. You can use this theme but not the galleriffc mode. You find an generally (except galleriffic) updated theme in our "unsupported" repository.

Thanks for your quick reply. I replaced JQuery 1.11.1 by 1.3.2 and that solved the problem. I guess this patchwork has to suffice for now, at least until the original developer makes changes to Galleriffic.

You might run into other issues naturally as a lot of Zenphoto depends on jQuery. I really would not count on the developer doing any updates if he hasn't in the last five years …

Nice site. As developer of this theme, I can say that I won't be releasing any updated versions because the Galleriffic script is incompatible with current jquery. Instead of swapping jquery you could try one these forked versions of Galleriffic, maybe they have fixed the issue. If you have success do let us know!
