can you explain which user rights are given with "Access all" and "Manage all" options on news and pages items?

in fact, I created an user with no rights on news and pages (all options are disabled on these items), but this user can see unpublished news but can't see unpublished pages.

It's an issue on user news rights?

on news, I can read that :
"Allows the user to access all news articles without a password. Without this right, the user can access only public ones and those categories checked in his managed object lists."

I can see password on pages and categories, but I can not see any password on news.

In my example :
there is no password on page
there is no password on new's caterogies
my user has no rights on news and pages.
he can not see pages but can see news.

Rights always are for viewing unpublished or protected items or managing items. Public articles etc naturally by definition anyone can see.

There is no password for articles itself but for their parent categories only.

If your user can see news they might be just published (= public) while the pages are not published (= not public).

If you say a user without news rights can see unpublished news articles that might be a bug. Or a cookie issue in the browser. Anyway we would have to reproduce that in that case.

on my prod site (zp 1.4.13), I have an user with no rights on news and pages.
I have unpublished pages (with no password) : he can't see them.

but...
I have unpublished news with published category
I have unpublished news with unpublished category (without password)
I have unpublished news with unpublished category (with a password)

In all of these cases, my user can see these unpublished news.

If you can have a look and try to reproduce it, I will create a ticket.

As you describe it it sounds like something is not right. The user has really no superior right that will override this? Anway, we will try to reproduce it. For now no ticket needed.

what rights may be superior ?

gallery : view gallery and view search
general : user

but unpublished news with unpublished or protected categories are displayed.
