Hi,

After upgrading to Zenphoto 1.4.9 and PHP 5.5 the contact page no longer works. When the link to the contact page is clicked Chrome produces this error message:

"This webpage has a redirect loop

ERR_TOO_MANY_REDIRECTS
ReloadHide details
The webpage at http://www.acorkhill.com/zenphoto/index.php?p=contact has resulted in too many redirects. Clearing your cookies for this site or allowing third-party cookies may fix the problem. If not, it is possibly a server configuration issue and not a problem with your computer."

My web hosting service have checked the server setup and say nothing is wrong. Clearing cookies etc makes no difference.

Any ideas how to solve this?

Sorry but I cannot reproduce this with any of the standard themes.
Any other errors in the debug log ?

There are no errors reported in the debug log. I am using the Basic theme (unaltered except for changing the colours in the CSS stylesheet). I have two Zenphoto installations running different websites on the same server - they both have the same problem which might suggest it is a server error, but my web hosting service say they can see nothing wrong.I have reactivated the contact page so that if you click on the link in my first post you should be able to see the error. Are there any server settings which might cause this problem? If so I could ask the web hosting service to check this. I suspect it is a server problem but I don't know enough about Zenphoto or web servers to know what to suggest to the web hosting company!

This is the reply from the web hosting service:

"I investigated throughout and the page is indeed making circular requests when looking at the output code, however I wasn't able to find any particular reason why this might be happening. Can you please contact your developers or the developers of ZenPhoto and they might be able to provide more insight since I wasn't able to locate any particular reason why this might be happening."

I cannot reproduce the issue either. Strange is that all links on your site are correctly rewritten links except the contact page link. But if modrewrite is enabled that should be /page/contact instead of p=contact. If I enter that rewritten url manually it does work, although the non rewritten link should work, too.

So perhaps your Zenphoot htaccess file is not correct? It should have version 1.4.5.

I've checked the htacess file version - it is 1.4.5 - Modrewrite is activated. In the modrewrite options for contact it says" /index.php?p=contact ". Is this correct?

Problem solved! I've reset the modrewrite tokens to their default values and it all works fine now. I'm puzzled as to how they were not set to default in the first place but all works as it should now - thanks for pointing me in the right direction to solve this!
