Hi,

I just install from 0 Zenphoto, but when i am setting the administrator password, i don't receive any mail. I complete all the process, put the captcha, and said that i am gonna receive my password soon... but ... no there is no mail in my inbox, i even look at spam...

In the administrators table, the email is correct, and the pass appear encoded.

What can i do ?

Most likely the server you are using is not allowing direct SMTP mailing as a security setting. There is not a work-around for that.

But you can reset your password by dseleting all records in your administrator's table. See the troubleshooting guide on forgotten passwords.

Thanks for the reply sbillard - I too am with a host who requires SMTP authentication specifically on other servers to allow outgoing mail from these kinds of scripts - any idea if this function will ever be included?

Thanks again, and for the great product. I've been watching it develop since 1.0 something and I've just myself switched my main site to it, from gallery2. That is running just far too slow, its waay to big and bloated.

I am sure we can add this, but we will need some details as to how the authentication must be done. Any details you can provide would be helpful. I suggest creating a ticket for this feature both so it does not get forgotten and so we have a place to attach the details.

I fear the only way to get SMPT authentification is to skip using the standard mail() function and incorporate a php mail class like this one that is used by Wordpress and many other scripts: http://phpmailer.worxware.com
