Running 1.6

I always make sure my photos are in the correct orentation before I add them to an album.

Due to an error on my part, I recently had to restore my website. And many of the photos in a few albums were rotated 90 degrees left. Fixable in ZP and I did... but when I look at the photos themselves, outside of ZP, they are correctly oriented.

Thoughs on what is causing this?

You should update to 1.6.5. There have been fixes in that area since 1.6. Please review the release posts.

So... likely to fix issue? I just updated my test site... so have nl issues with updating the primary

Not sure I understand what you are sayling… Former ZP versions did not always interpret the rotation exif flags properly. Now we follow exactly the specification and this was tested in and out a while back. If something isn't rotated properly check the meta data if the rotation values are correctly set and that your server actually is able to rotation. Some graphics lib configurations may not, in that case ask your host.
