Hi everyone. Have seen similar problem reported but none exactly like this:

Installation seemed fine but when I upload images to a new gallery, the image thumbnail does not appear. Then in the live gallery the images do not appear and the link to the album itself is broken.

The same thing is happening to my test galleries. I just installed ZenPhoto this morning. Your message is dated as being today, too. I wonder if there is something in the version of the ZenPhoto software we're using? I've contacted my web host to see what they can determine. The error page (File not found) references a different server than my website is housed on. I'm wondering if the database is on a different server than the other web file and if that is somehow making the problem for ZenPhoto. When I checked the subdirectories for the albums I created, the photos are there, but there's no "index" page for the web browser to go to when the album link is clicked. (Examples below.) Anybody got any info for us? Help is much appreciated. Thanks!

Indeed shared hostings have mostly a different server for the database. But the problem you both encounter is a mod_rewrite problem. Try disabling mod_rewrite in the admin options.

I just found our fix on the Troubleshooting Zenphoto forum, questions 4 & 5. I followed the steps there and now my galleries display just fine! Thanks, acrylian. Your advice is the same as the Troubleshooting stuff and your post came in just after I found that out.

I just installed zenphoto this weekend and I love it - much simpler and faster than Gallery. Thanks to all of you who work on it.
But I have a weird problem. I uploaded an album and there is one photo of the 17 in the album that will not show. In the thumbnail view, its name is shown instead of the photo. When I click on the name, I get an image page with no image. The image file is present and can be viewed if I go directly to its URL. I tried disabling mod_rewrite, but it doesn't help.
I have tried uploading this photo to a new album, purging cache, refreshing the database. Stupidly, I even re-installed zenphoto. It seems to be a problem specifically with this image, because this image does not show, regardless of what album I put it in. I have opened the image in photoshop, downsampled it, resaved it. Doesn't help. It opens fine in Microsoft image viewer on my desktop.

You're right. Thanks. You must get sick of people who don't read the troubleshooting page. Because the file size was smaller than some of my other images that displayed OK, I thought image size was not a problem. But, now I see that it's the dimensions in pixels that is important.
