I got this error, and I don't know why.
I ended up d/l the latest 1.2.1 and completely wiping my pics site, except for the album folder. I re uploaded everything, and still get it. changed all permissions to 777.

i doubt this is a bug, i am sure its my error, so don't know where I should post this...

I have not seen such an error before. But there may be a clue: the error message.

You will probably have to talk to your provider on this one. Setup will never try to write to itself, so, presumably the write is to some other place--the two places it will write are the zp-config.php file and the .htaccess file.

You should insure that those two files are writable. But I expect so, since setup does check that before writing.

Otherwise, no idea.

I will check with them, I have like 3 other zen photo sites on the same server, they use to work, now they don't! Wierd! I will get with them asap...
