It looks like titles and descriptions in the jQuery version of the slideshow are showing up with the \ escape character preceding single and double quotes.

Is this something that I can help fix?

What version 1.2 or nightly? There have been some fixes and I believe krainbolt is already working on it.

I just installed the latest nightly build (2370), but unfortunately I'm still seeing the backslash escaping both single and double quotes.

I cannot reproduce this in the nightly. Did you upgrade your entire zenphoto installation, or just some of the files? Can you provide the URL for an album this is occurring in?

The issue of \ showing up with all apostrophes and quotation marks still exists. I've tried re-saving in both the front end and back end on the admin page but no change. Go to http://www.dbeezleyphotography.com/photos/Fly-Fishing/snake-river-jackson-hole/ for examples on many of the images. This problem occurs when running the slide show.

I can't see anything unusual on the slideshow of this album, except that the first 2 images strangely show the credits of the plugin.. Maybe you should try the nightly.
