Hi there, Ive just discovered Zenphoto and love it - I was busy customising my own these the night i found Zenphoto. Ive got it all up and running on my server without modifying any of the files. However, when i was finished, I tried pointing a subdomain to it, and it broke... All the URL's are wrong now, does anyone have a clue what i gotta do to get it to work with the subdomain ?

WITHOUT SUBDOMAIN:
http://www.thesparklab.com/zptest/

SUBDOMIAN:
http://test.thesparklab.com/

any ideas ?

I'm thinking you should try to disable mod_rewrite in the config.php..., or somehow setup the subdomain so that it shares its name with the folder in which zenphoto is installed. Wow, I was going somewhere with this... where?

Ok, mod_rewrite is set to false in config.php... still no joy.

In my webserver setup, the subdomain is set to:

/zptest

Which is the zenphoto directory. I really dont get it ??!?!

Just a guess, but zenphoto won't ruin properly in the root directory of a web site. It looks like /zptest is the root directory of your subdomain. Try moving it a level lower ( i.e. /zptest/zenphoto) and see if that helps.
I've got my galleries on a subdomain ( http://galleries.dustbunny.com/rick )and it works fine.

hmmm. Im not too sure, I have seen other sites running from a sub-domain. EG: http://photo.cimi.nl/ Works fine.

This person has no email address that I can see, so I cant ask them how they did it ! :-(

On my hosting service, subdomains are actually seperate areas of the disk. For example, galleries.dustbunny.com has its own root. I just installed my galleries in the /rick directory.

I have no idea how other people have done it.
