I have a wonderfully functioning install of php 5 and mysql. I have this on a windows 64 bit server running is7. I am not familiar with .htaccess files and chmod, those seem to be apache/unix flavors? I copied the files into my web directory and got an internal server error 500. Is there any kind soul who can help me make progress on this server? any is7 install veteran? Its starting to make my hair grey, I'll compensate with paypal to anyone who gets me up and running.

I am sorry, I don't even know what is7 is.... IIS windows servers are known to cause issues but generally should work. Actually we really recommend Apache.

I understand the preference for apache, but its not an option for me at this time. is7 is simply the webserver from microsoft:

again anyone with any experience installing on is7 please help get me rolling? I am sure my php and mysql installs are tight as they run extensive other apps well.

I was kinda hoping someone would have a modified setup or at least know which lines to change to get setup working?

Ah, ok. is7 = IIS 7. I am sure some users will be able to help. Did you try a forum search, there are surely some threads.

Monkey,

I have a similar setup as you. I had to manually edit the zp-config file to add my database information (username, password, host, and database). Once I did that, I returned to the page, and the install proceeded without issue.

thank you pburch, it is just helpful to know its possible and which file to muck around in..I was initially playing with setup file to no avail. I'll check out the zp-config file but if I dont have any luck, do you mind if I ask you for help directly?

Please try to do that here on the forum so that other users maybe can benefit from that, too. Or at least let us know the general solution afterwards if this is about privacy . Thanks!

Very stuck. I altered the database information in the config file but when I go to setup I get the ugly server 500 error, I'm pretty sure I still have more to change...anyone with an IIS 7 successful install?
