Hey all. I am working on a mac using MAMP. Im a bit of a newb at the whole web server thing. I have hidden folders turned on but I cannot find this .htaccess file. I have installed the latest version of zen and straight into the root folder but there is no such file. Can someone send me one or tell me what to do?

Files starting with a . are invisible on Macs and they are not copied if you copy a folder. It should be there if you unzip the folder within the MAMP htdocs folder directly.

Re downloaded the zip package and thar she be . Can I take the . off or must it be hidden at all times

Leave it alone. The server requires it and it is not hidden on UNIX servers (or via ftp) actually.
