Hey guys, just found out about this script, looks very promising. I am just wondering how easy it is to add functions to it. I currently use gallery 1 and it is a huge pain
trying to hunt down functions, much less tweak them.

I basically want a gallery that I can make copy a highlight image or something from the latest gallery to a public directory (the gallery is in a memebers only folder) and also possibly modify a xml file pointing to that new image, ect.

Also curious if this gallery has an option to upload 5 galleries, but make them not viewable right away, set a "release" date for each so they don't go public until that date, unlikely but I can wish.

Any help is appreciated, will be installing to a home server asap to check out.

You can set set images and albums (in Zenphoto terms "gallery" is the whole installation, just to avoid confusion) to not visible / unpublished. These will not be shown in the normal gallery but will be accessible if someone knows the direct link. You can also password protect albums.

On the admin overview page is a utilitly for scheduling content publishing albums/images.

You can also copy images from one album to another, either by using the admin functions (preserves descriptions etc entered on the admin) or directly via ftp (does not preserver descriptions).

I did not really understand what you mentioned about the highlight image and the xml file actually.

Adding functions to Zenphoto is pretty simple. There are two approaches. The first is to customize your theme. The second is to use plugins. The control of when images/albums get published that acrylian mentions above is done by a utility plugin called schedule content.
