Hi We have just upgraded to the latest version of the gallery and our tags are not working correctly - the site is http://www.tattoo.tv/gallery/index.php - if you click on the tag cloud for black & Grey you will see colour images in with the black and grey that are not tagged with the tag black and grey
Does anybody have any idea what i can do to sort this out
Stephen
Well, if I look at one of the color images it clearly has the black and grey tag attached to it. That kind of thing could happen if you did something like move the tag association database form one installation to another. Tags are associated with images by the image ID in the database.
At this point I guess all you can do is go in and fix the tags on the images.
I actually don't see 'black and grey' attached to these color tattoo images as tags:
However, they do have one thing in common. They all have the tag "Hands".
Could it be that in Admin > Options > Search, you have the "Tags" search mode (in the list) set to "Partial", rather than "Exact"?
( edit: thus matching "hANDs" )
In addition, you may have Admin > Options > Search > "Treat spaces as OR" checked, as I think it's currently splitting up "Black and Grey" into "Black", "and", "Grey".
Worth a gander, at least.
Thank you ZEBoxx and sBillard for your help, We do have it set to partial if i switch it to exact all of our searches disappear - the problem seems to occur only when i switch on treat spaces as OR in the backend - the reason we had this switched on is to search for artists try "ben stone" ( we currently have it switched off ) you will get no results - however if you try "Ben" on its own or "stone" you get all his results - this used to work fine for us, is it possible that the way the search works has changed in the upgrade? we would really like to be able to search by artist name
Is there any enhancement we can make so if someone does a search and there are no results we can display some images under the message - my boss is alergic to the phrase sorry no image matches try refining your search.
Once again thanks very much for your help
